Biography, Administrative History and Provenance: en The films are a record of a Lewiston, Maine, family, Alcid F. DuMais, M.D., his wife Natalie Dennis DuMais, and their four children. The collection documents the end of Dr. DuMais’s WWII Navy service, a surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic, and the establishment of a private practice in Lewiston, Maine, where he was Chief of Surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital.
