Two audiocassettes contain an oral history audio interview conducted 8 January 1983 by Joan Hebert with her father-in-law Emile A. Hebert and his wife Alma (Guerrette) Hebert at their home in St. David, Maine. A letter describes the collection materials and provides an explanation to the abrupt end of the audio recording. The hand-drawn map is a plan of homes along the main road (U.S. Tre. 1) in St. David, Maine ca. 1920 from the St. David Catholic Church to a one mile either side.

In her letter which accompanies this collection, Joan Hebert identifies Emile A. Hebert as her father-in-law, married to Alma Guerrette from St. Agatha and was turning 77 in 1982. The tape identifies him as the son of Madeline Martin. The map identifies the previous owner of his home as Adolphe Martin. Provenance: Joan Hebert submitted these materials for a course with Roger Paradis at the University of Maine at Fort Kent in Spring 1982. Ms Hebert conducted the interviews with interviewees Emile and Alma Hebert and created the accompanying map and letter. This collection was brought to the Acadian Archives/Archive acadiennes by Prof. Paradis in March 1991.
