- en The collection consists of photographs, many undated and unidentified, including one album, all previously belonging to Eva Ainsley. The album contains photos dating from around 1919 to 1930, including World War I and the 1927 flood in Barre. The bulk of the World War I photographs are of the parade on September 12, 1919 in Washington, D.C., and include several snapshots of General John J. Pershing. The album also includes photographs of Cutler Corners in Orange, Vermont, including the Ainsley farm, and Lake Memphremagog and Lake Willoughby, as well as other lakes in Vermont.

- en Arthur M. Ainsley (1862-1930), Charlotte (Plummer) Ainsley (1868-1960), and their two daughters, Eva E. (1898-1982) and Elsie M. (1900-1983) came from Québec to Orange, Vermont around 1900. Mr. Ainsley operated a large farm before moving to 41 Park St., Barre City in 1926. Both daughters graduated from Goddard Seminary. Eva Ainsley worked as a bookkeeper for Smith, Whitcomb & Cook, Barre, Vermont; Elsie Ainsley worked as a dental assistant in the offices of Dr. Howard Reid and, later, Dr. Alphonse Morale, also in Barre.
