Most of the Therien Family had moved to Chicopee, MA to work in the mills. Therefore, it was unusual for the entire family to be together. This photo was taken outside the home of George, Minnie and Anna Therien. Anna is standing on the porch, holding on to a column. In the second row, second from the left, is Mary "Minnie" Therien. This house was likely the home of Moyse and Mary Louise (Senecal) Therien. Among the Theriens to come to the US, the first one was Moyse Therien, likely in 1844, and probably from the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.
