  A studio photograph of Légaré children posed around a table at Irving Studio in Troy, NY. Marie Mayotte's daughter Marie Elodie married Henri Maxime Légaré and had several children before returning to Quebec's Eastern Townships in 1884. The boys are (back row) Jean-Baptiste, Guillaume Henri, Alfred Jerome, Charles Henri, and (front seated) George Libere François. The photo was probably taken just after the funeral for their brother George Edouard who died in 1883 of cholera (or typhus?), which probably was the last straw that encouraged the family to leave Troy.
