Believed to be a colorized tintype of Ferdinand Lewis (dit Clermont), father of Joseph Lewis. Ferdinand 's son Joseph immigrated to Troy, NY. He is believed to have died from cholera or complications from cholera after having helped individuals who were suffering from cholera in Quebec City.

He was married twice and fathered 22 children, 9 survived to adulthood. Most of the children immigrated to Chazy, NY and Pittsfield, MA from Quebec.
Framed pencil portrait of Rose Anna (Tremblay) Laurin, born September 14, 1861, probably in Napierville, Quebec. She married Francois Joseph Laurin on August 3, 1883. Rose Anna (Tremblay) Laurin died in childbirth, leaving behind nine children.

Yvonne spent time in a refugee camp during World War I due to her Swiss/German heritage. Yvonne emigrated to the United States in 1929.
